Our Vision
Welcome! The Museum for Cultural Artifacts (MFCA) is an upcoming nonprofit cultural museum in metro Detroit. Founded by the artist, curator and collector Alyssa Taylor Wendt, the museum believes in recognizing the historical narratives of unique and unusual objects to celebrate the beauty and significance of peripheral culture. The stewardship of the collection uses selections of artifacts to inspire wonder and to educate visitors about the importance of objects regardless of their monetary value and to create a dialogue about meaning, relevance and the future. We have finally found a building to house our vision which will contain the collection, traveling exhibitions, community programming, a performance space, gift shop and library! We are starting a major capital campaign to restore the building, please email FundtheMFCA@gmail.com for more information or sign up for our mailing list here to find out about fundraising events and updates. Thank you for your support and love.
Projected opening: May 2024
